Top Fall TV Premieres

The air is crisp and leaves are starting to change, and school is back in session. Other than pumpkin flavored everything, its also the the time for new fall TV shows to begin. Here are just a couple to keep your eye out for this year.

Blood & Oil

Centered around the oil fields of North Dakota, Blood & Oil follows a young couple as they try to make it big during the biggest oil discovery in American History. It stars Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl and Don Johnson from Miami Vice, who plays an oil tycoon and antagonist of the show.

Heroes Reborn

heroes-reborn

Heroes Reborn is a miniseries reboot of NBC’s Heroes. It follows Zachary Levi as he navigates the world after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, that left the city decimated, those ordinary folks with extraordinary abilities are blamed. Most have gone into hiding or are on the run, but something tells us they won’t stay hidden for for long.

Quantico

This thriller follows new FBI recruits as they complete training, only as they are going through training, a terrorist attack takes place and it one of the recruits is blamed. This show uses flashbacks to try and uncover who of the recruits is actually responsible for the attack. If you liked How to Get Away with Murder which is beginning its second season this week, this show seems to follow a similar story-telling pattern.

Limitless

Based on the 2011 film, also called Limitless which starred Bradley Cooper, who will be a reoccurring character, Limitless stars Jake McDorman as Brian Sinclair, who discovers the brain-enhancing power of the drug NZT, and is coerced into using his new abilities to work for the FBI and solve crimes.

Scream Queens

Scream Queens is the newest Ryan Murphy (Glee, The O.C.) comedy show to hit FOX. It uses classic horror tropes to make a campy-sounding comedy that’s sure to be a great way to spend a Tuesday night. It stars Emma Roberts as the President of the sorority and resident mean girl and features Jamie Lee Curtis as the Dean of Students. Ryan Murphy shows offer a lot in the way of dialogue and plot, and if you liked his past shows, Scream Queens will hopefully live up to the hype.

Flesh and Bone

Flesh-and-Bone-main-618

Like Heroes Reborn, Flesh and Bone is a limited run show this fall that I could not be any more excited for. From the creator of Breaking Bad, get an inside look on the life of an emotionally wounded ballerina trying to cope with the demands of the dance world she loves so much. This series was shot entirely in NYC, and you’ll only be able to find it on STARZ.

Which new shows are you most excited about?
