Better Homes, Best Drinks!

As the summer heats up, it’s important to stay cool. So kick it up a notch with a new twist on these refreshing summer drinks, courtesy of Better Home and Gardens!

Tequila Sunrise Margarita

Toast to summer with the perfect mix of a tequila sunrise and margarita!

Ingredients:
1 lime wedge
3 cups Triple Sec or other orange liqueur
2 cups tequila
1 ½ cups freshly squeezed lime juice
1 cup superfine sugar or powdered sugar
2 cups orange juice
Ice cubes
Grenadine syrup
Orange slices (optional)

Top it off with a red sugary rim!

Try this delicious non-alcoholic drink, with the sweet fizziness to end your day in just the right way!

Ingredients:
3 cups ginger ale
tablespoons grenadine
4 tablespoons orange juice
3 scoops orange sherbet

Blend it all together, and enjoy!

Cucumber Sangria

A new twist on summer Sangria!

Ingredients:

1 small honeydew melon
1 seedless cucumber, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
12 fresh mint leaves
¼ cup lime juice
¼ cup honey
1750 mL bottle Sauvignon blanc or other semi-dry white wine, chilled
1 1 liter bottle carbonated water, chilled
Fresh mint sprigs and/or leaves (optional)

Blackberry-Bourbon Lemonade

Give your taste buds a real treat! Mix the following ingredients in a cocktail shaker, and throw in a few blackberries and enjoy!
Blackberry-Bourbon Lemonade

Ingredients

¼ cup bourbon (2 oz.)
1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice (3/4 oz.)
2 teaspoons Blackberry-Rosemary Syrup
1/3 cup sparkling lemonade, chilled
Fresh blackberries (optional)
